Rich Hill R-IV School District

I would like to nominate the Rich Hill Vocational Agriculture program. The need to train students in trade skills is a priority to the Rich Hill School District. Due to financial constraints, the school does not have an industrial arts program so all trade skill education is taught in the agriculture education classes. The agriculture department would like to purchase a plasma table with a CAD program. This piece of equipment will allow students to acquire skills in the metal production field. The students will obtain design, computer, CAD, and marketing skills with the new addition of the plasma table. The Rich Hill School District is located along I-49 in a rural community of 1,418 people. The median household income is $31,059. The free and reduced is 81.2%. 52.5% of Rich Hill graduates go to college.

This purchase would allow the students to experience more modern metal projects. I feel the girls would become more interested in the hands on construction class. I see creative projects being made by all students who would not be able to construct without this purchase.

  2. This piece of equipment will allow our students to gain additional skills & advantages to be not only more productive but also creative. Please consider our small, rural community. Thank You
